GARDEN BOUQUETS

"What must one work at?
What is that which if duly learned will find the soul of man in rest?
Christ answers without the least hesitation.
He specifies two things, --Meekness and Lowliness.
'Learn of Me,' He says, 'for I am meek and lowly in heart.' "

WHAT IS IT?

Years ago there was a regular feature in a popular magazine in which various objects etc were shown very magnified and close up.

I always enjoyed trying to guess.

Was it Readers Digest? Does anyone out there remember?

Although this resembles something "heavenly"; actually it is a straight-down shot of a pan of boiling water.
One day while preparing my cream of wheat (Yes, I really like the stuff!), I looked into the swirling bubbles and thought, "gee, that's kind of pretty". Grabbed my camera and here it is.

Have a great weekend.

TINY PURPLE FLOWERS

Pretty perky, aren't they?

They look to me like they have something to say.

Any ideas on what it might be?

FINISHING THE JOB

At least it's not 102 degrees like it was last year when they started working on the roof of the church
It makes me a bit nervous when they climb out of that cage.

Can you imagine what it would be like to be up there when those bells begin ringing

TFT: I give thanks for all those who are willing to do the jobs that need doing, even when it is challening.

2nd TIME AROUND

This is the second blooming for this one.
I really appreciate it when a perenniel does this.

BRIDAL FASHIONS

Had a great time recently at a bridal shower for my future granddaughter.

Part of the festivities called for dividing into teams and designing bridal gowns out of, you guessed it, toilet tissue.

Here are the creations of the day.

This was my team's entry. Sort of a revival of "the roaring 20's", "flapper" look.

The wedding is about 3 weeks away. Can hardly wait.
A beautiful young couple they are.

I pray God's blessing on this union.

Maybe I will have pictures of that special day.

They never disappoint

ANOTHER VISITOR

Do you remember my theory about the networking of cats with regard to finding a friendly spot to visit?

Well, I think I have another example of this being true.

Put out an old comforter to "air out", and almost immediately this appeared!

Came for a little rest, stayed for the "bird watching".

EXPANDING THE GARDEN.....AGAIN

And when I think I have no space left to plant anything....I decide to pull up "just a few more bricks".

Think I'll put a small tree here.

"For in the true nature of things, if we really consider, every green tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold or silver."
Martin Luther

I've always thought that such was true. So glad to have my opionion affirmed by one so wise. : )

MINIATURE ROSE

"It's the little things in life that determine the big things."

I remember as a youngster hearing the grown-ups saying, "Take care of the pennies, and the dollars will take care of themselves."
I suppose the denomination of the currency should perhaps be upped a bit; but, somehow, I think the basic premise is still valid.
And then again, maybe we should be more careful with the pennies also. Something about "one saved is one earned."

Have a great day.
