ONE DAY AT A TIME
"It is not growing like a tree
In bulk, doth make man better be,
   Or standing long an oak,
   three hundred year,
To fall a log at last,
    dry, bald, and sere.
   A lily of a day
   Is fairer far in May,
Although it fall and die that night...
In small porportions we just beauties see,
And in short measure life may perfect be."
  Ben Jonson

What a great mechanism to remind us of how special/fragile each day can be...
I recall our walk through the thousands of day lilies at the Kuehle family picnic...
I will never forget...not only the hundreds of varieties that could be recalled by name, but the passion for which they were cared for...
