SURPRISE!

The term "late bloomer" comes to mind when you see this iris that opened up yesterday.

There are four buds on that stem! I guess she just didn't want to share the spotlight with all the other iris that bloomed almost a month ago.

She came "fashionably late" to the party.

Is that still is fashion...does anybody know?
