REALITY

"Nay, seek not under February's snows

for summer's crimson rose;

Her petals frail and fair

Were long since scattered on the perfumed air.

Content thee now with frost and hoary rime;

There are no roses in the winter time."

I can only find the word "wow" to say to this morning's blog. It's moving. It sounded like something Grandmother Gladys might recite while around the house!
Also I must say I enjoyed post #2 from son #3 on yesterday's blog! =>

Mom, I find your blog a great way to start morning meditation ... in touch you might say! =>

XOXO

Every season has it's own beauty! The wonder of God's plan - He gives us so many "things" to be excited about. One such thing is checking for buds and anticipating the glorious blooms.

I find that in this land of the midwest, that the color is gray most of the winter. This grayness makes me more aware of color when it is offered...like the blue sky when there are no clouds or a brillant red cardinal sitting on a tree branch.
However,I am counting the days until spring.
Apparently, Phil didn't see his shadow! An early spring???

A great quote indeed! Good to be reminded that a meaningful life doesn't require a cheery smile all the time. We are supposed to have time to ponder, reflect, remember, and yes, even feel depressed.
