AND A BRIGHT MONDAY MORNING TO YOU!
An elderly woman walked into the local country church.
The friendly usher greeted her at the door and with a smiling face asked, "Where would you like to sit?".
"The front row please" she answered.
"You really don't want to do that," the usher said. "The pastor is really boring."
"Do you know who I am?" the woman inquired.
"No," he said.
"I'm the pastor's mother," she replied indignantly.
"Do you know who I am?" he asked.
"No" she said.
"Good" he answered.
TFT: If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.....
Blast from the past: Mother used to tell me about the first time she went to visit Dad's folks after they began dating. They lived on a farm in Gordonville, Mo. and were faithful members of Zion Methodist Church.
They arrived on Saturday, and one of the first things Grandmother Rasche asked Mom was if she had brought a hat. (Of course she had)
And before they left for church the next morning, Grandmother very quietly shared with Mom this good bit of advice. "Don't say anything bad about anybody, because everyone's related!"
If Grandmother Rasche had known Mother better at the time, she would have known that just like the inquiry about the hat, this was a good piece of advice, but not really necessary.
Oh for the grace to be a bit more like my Mom.

Just like the old Bambi film! Always one of my favorite sayings.
Just read the posting from Brother Mark made Friday 7/6.
GREAT to hear that Debbie is doing well. Having that stint reduce the blockage should prove to be VERY helpful!!
God Bless the Doctors and Nurses that worked on Debbie, and of course all the rest of us!

What good stock we come from! Thanks for sharing the story, mom. I've heard you say "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" a hundred times, I'm sure. Thanks again for the reminder.
And, great to hear that Debi is doing well. Get some more oxygen flowin around and you never know what great things will happen. That's great that the docs discovered the problem and fixed it.
