I JUST CAN'T RESIST

On my morning walks, I pick up leaves. Just can't help it. Beauty that can't be resisted.

It seems I am not alone in this compulsion.

"I still get wildy enthusiastic about little things...I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind." Leo Buscaglia

TFT: I think this morning I will see if I still remember how to skip!

Beautiful leaves...
Of course you remember how to skip!! I'm not sure why it is considered a childhood way of getting around!? It makes me smile just thinking about it.
I'll bet when you start skipping you start laughing too! It seems those two things go hand in hand!
Have fun!

I love to collect leaves! I just wish there was some way to save up the smell and beauty of autumn for other times.

Beautiful falls leaves are definitely some of my favorite things!

Hopscotch tomorrow!

You go Mom...

I'm putting the heater in my golf cart this weekend....that is a time-stamped tradition that makes the coming of fall/winter a reality

Don't forget the cider!

I did plenty of skipping last week! And I collected a couple leaves, too!

In fact, I was reminded of a science project I did in 6th grade where I had to collect 30 different kinds of leaves during October, then identify key characteristics of them and tell what kind of tree they were from.

I loved doing the project so much that it turned out well, and my teacher asked to keep it! Of course I was happy that she wanted to show it off, but I'm sad now that I don't have it.

Soooo I was thinking of making a new one in the next year. Gotta keep my own creative projects going on the side!

Anyway, this was a long comment. But I wanted to share!

Loving this crisp October weather! Pretty leaves, thanks for sharing!

I'm going to put my bulbs in the ground. Another sign that summer is over for this year.

I think the squirrels have been wondering what I was waiting for : )
