FOR 27 YEARS

A "regular" in the back to school drama is this gentleman who has been directing traffic and children for more than a quarter of a century at the corner of Wilson and Marconi

Every morning before the children who walk to school begin to arrive, he takes his place at this stop sign on the southeast corner and begins to watch in three directions.
When he views them in the distance, he moves to this spot on the edge of the curb.

Then, when he sees some youngsters coming on the north side of the street, he steps off the curb and slowly walks across to that side.

He uses his cane to both stop the cars and direct the children.
