LOOK CLOSELY II

Yesterday, I noticed one sunflower that was in full bloom, but was not facing the sun. (see directly in the arch of the shepherd's crook that holds the windchime)
I was a bit puzzled about this, so moved in closer (see between the windchine and the bird feeder.)

And then moved to a completely different angle. (see directly behind the post holding the birdfeeders)

I have several theories:

1. For some unknown reason she has been disciplined, and has been given a "time-out" facing the fence.

2. She is extremely bashful.

3. She forgot her sunscreen and is protecting her lovely face.

4. She has overslept!

5. She's a non-conformist.

6. All of the above

7. Other

What do you think? Will be awaiting your thoughts.

I'm going with theory #5. That sunflower reminds me of Justin, who has been described as a non-conformist many times! Yet he has grown to be a healthy, tall and successful individual! He too faces the sun...in his own way!

When we see things like your sunflower, we wonder what could be wrong...I like the way you took the time to wonder what could be right!

Mmmmmaybe she's self-absorbed and there's a mirror or reflection somewhere that she's facing that gives her plenty of sunlight.

Or maybe it's like Justin. I think I like that theory better.

Maybe, like many of us,she's stumbling along the path of self discovery.
