TRADITIONAL

My Harold was a traditionalist.

It took years to convince him to buy a tie other than a red and blue striped one (although he did have them in a variety of widths...the stripes I mean.)

He thought jello should be red and pansies should be purple! These are in honor and remembrance of him.

He is missed. But the memories are beautiful and the hope of being reunited is sure.

TFT: "In comparison with this big world, the human heart is only a small thing.
Though the world is so large, it is utterly unable to satisfy this tiny heart. Our ever growing soul and its capacities can be satisfied only in the infinite God. As water is restless until it reaches its level, so the soul has no peace until is rests in God. " Sadhu Sundar Singh

EXPLANATION

No blog entry last Friday.
Internet connection lost.
Called this morning. Very interesting information as to why!
Anyway, if postings discontinue, or you get no response from
Email sent; please know I am "out of touch" electronically!

It's a shame that you all couldn't listen in on the conversation between me and tech folks. I know it would be a real "hoot" to hear me trying to explain to them what is the matter, and to try to respond to them when I do NOT understand the basic terms that they speak in!!!! I mean BASIC terms...: )

Most of the time, it doesn't take them long to realize that they are speaking with an older adult...and one who sometimes doesn't hear very well either; and almost always they have been very patient.....a lot of nice people in this world. (Maybe they all have Grandmothers that they care about)

Anyway, Happy Monday Morning...and now I have to hurry to get up to my Senior exercises at the Center......so here's a quick TFT:

God loves you...and that make's two of us!

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Last week, Mark A posted a comment that perhaps some of you missed.

I believe it is worth repeating....at least I hope I never forget it.

"A man never describes his own character so clearly
as when he describes another man's".

No authur ascribed.

Mark added: be nice.....
I add: "God, please help me guard my tongue."

A BLESSING FOR YOU

Not wanting to wait for lettuce seeds to grow, I have been putting a bit of bib lettuce on the graound by the fence.
From my back window, several times, I have seen Hoppy Jr. enjoying it. Fun to watch, but have been unable to get a picture.
Last evening I checked my frig to see if I could put a little variety in his menu. Found a few grape tomatoes, and decided to put one out with the lettuce. (on the ground, of course :) )
This is what I found this morning.
If Hoppy did this, I am going to have to rename him Jumper!!
Whatever or whoever is responsible for this, their mother (or grandmother) needs to tell them that the vitimins are in the skin!!!!!

GROWING THINGS

I am with, God's help, attempting to see if I can grow something in addition to flowers.
Was inspired by the following thought from a daily devotion written by David Jeremiah.

Cultivate the discipine of looking for and finding God in all of life--the good times as well as the hard times.

To see God in the present is to have hope for the future.

"God is above, presiding; beneath, sustaining; within, filling."

MAY BE TRUE ABOUT MOST THINGS

Pansies love the cool mornings.

Every spring when the first warm breeze touches my face with a promise of Spring, I begin driving by Bayers every time I am "out and about". I'm checking to see if the trays of these tiny, bright little "faces" have arrived.

And when I see them I stop. Then I spend a great deal of time trying to decide which ones to take home. These bright sunshiney ones were among my selections this year.

I think I made a good choice.

WAITING...

This little bunny has been "hanging out" in the garden for a couple of days.
I think maybe he's waiting for me to plant some lettuce!
I'm afraid he is going to be disappointed in that area. Hope he doesn't settle for some tender tulip leaves.

God is...
and all is well."

AWAKE!

I don't know if it was the kiss of the sun, or the alarm clock set on "birds singing" that awakened these sleeping beauties....but they are not only awake, but reflecting the glory of God in unabashed praise!
"Dear mother earth, who day by day
unfoldesst blessings on your way.
Alleluia, Alleluia!
The flowers and fruits that in thee grow,
let them God's glory also show!
O praise ye!
O praise ye!
Alleluia
Alleuia
Alleuia!
